The legendary Heraeus Kulzer water-bath polymerization distinguishes itself through the best possible polymerization of denture acrylics. This process enables the smallest residual content of monomer and ideal mechanical properties.

The cuvette is placed in a minimum of 3 liters of lukewarm water and covered with water to the top. The water-bath is heated up to 70 degrees Celsius over approx. 30 minutes, and then kept at this temperature for a further 30 minutes. Subsequently the water-bath is brought to the boil over a period of approximately 20 minutes, and kept at this temperature for 30 minutes. To alleviate the tension after polymerization, the water-bath is cooled down slowly. This greatly improves the life expectancy and precision-fit of the denture acrylics.
